Once your request has been approved, you can take the form to the Public Safety Office in Bldg 2 on the Salem Campus. There is at least a 24 hour turn around time for college keys and/or access cards. For outreach or off campus sites, discuss key or access card requests with your supervisor. There is a $10 replacement fee for each lost key.  All keys must be returned to the Public Safety Office when your term of employment is completed. Parking Permits:

Chemeketa has instituted paid parking. The income from this goes directly to maintaining the parking areas and provides for a Public Safety officer..

The fee for parking permits is $20 per term, or $35 for an annual permit valid for an academic year. Additional permits are $9 per vehicle for annual permit holders, only!. Parking fees are non-refundable.

Annual permits issued to staff and faculty are available only at the Public Safety Office. You can also authorize a payroll deduction to cover the cost.

Parking permits are issued to an individual. The person issued a parking permit is responsible for any parking violation issued to a vehicle displaying the person's permit, regardless of who the operator may be.

College employees or students may not use visitor parking permits.

Special Permits are issued only to college staff, and are required to park in a space designated as reserved for Special Permits for a maximum of four hours. Violations occurring in these parking spaces are enforceable at all times.

Replacement of a lost or stolen permit is free for the first replacement. Subsequent replacements will be assessed the normal permit fee.

Motorcycles may park without a permit in designated motorcycle parking areas. Motorcycles parked in a regular parking space must display a valid parking permit.

Chemeketa has a Traffic Code policy. Please make yourself familiar with it. You can find it on My Chemeketa Intranet site or from the Office of Public Safety.

Staff ID's are available from Public Safety in the lower level of Building 2, 503.399.5023.  You will need your staff ID for library/media use. This card can be adapted to act as an electronic access keycard to various buildings on campus. (Requires supervisor approval)
